What does Km0 mean?

In our case it really means having a production cycle that is developed in an area of less than one kilometer, an area where quality and sustainability do not remain just words, but become the peculiarity of the product itself.

Having an efficient production cycle in this sense means having localized all the areas necessary for the creation of our Grana Padano in a small space. This allows us to have a controlled supply chain, reduced processing time, little waste and environmental sustainability.

And indeed, looking at the layout of the area, we can see that everything is close at hand: north of the Provincial Road we find the modern cowsheds where our cows are housed, surrounded by vast fields of alfalfa, stable meadows and corn, their main nutrients.

Then we meet the biogas plant, powered by livestock manure and corn silage produced by the farm itself and capable of generating electricity and thermal energy.

We cross the road and, after the administrative offices, we immediately come across the dairy, where the processing of our precious raw material begins; continuing we find the seasoning warehouse, where our Grana Padano PDO rests, and is turned and brushed with care and regularity; finally we come to the packaging department and to the Store, a large and modern space where you can taste and buy our finished product.

In this way, the entire processing chain can only be truly controlled, thus being able to guarantee very high quality standards.

We have thus obtained the following certifications: BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standard), IFS (International Featured Standards), ISO 22005:2008, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 14067:2018.
